HOW Do I GET DATA ANALYZER TO CONNECT TO MY SSAS 2005 DB's EXTERNALLY?

okay,

I have the SSAS 2005 cubes migrated. I have loaded MS Data Analyzer (the client ad-hoc quesry tool of choice for the CXX's and SSAS 2005) and can connect with no problem LOCALLY on the DA- installed on local machine. I have no lucky externally. I keep getting the error: Cannot connect to the "MYDBSERVER". The server is either not started ot too busy. HELP!!

There coupld be multiple things going on.

1. You are missing new AS 9 OLEDB provider. Download and install Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services 9.0 OLE DB Provider from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=d09c1d60-a13c-4479-9b91-9e8b9d835cdc&displaylang=en

2. Your firewall might be blocking AS TCP port. Open port 2383 for default instance of AS.
